I had an absolutely wonderful day. I chatted with my cousin Av on the phone, spent the day shopping with my mum and Emily, prayed during “A Minute for Avalanna,” and ended the evening sharing with a delicious meal (salmon, green beans, mushrooms, mashed potatoes, mmmmm!) and an absolutely amazing surprise birthday cake featuring my favorite animal of all time (thanks, Em!). And my grandparents came to visit!

I am also the proud recipient of the following: two books about giraffes, giraffe stationery, giraffe slippers, giraffe clothes hangers (I kid you not), giraffe flip-flops, a new giraffe stuffed animal (to add to my other six), and giraffe rainboots.

Some may say it’s an unhealthy obsession. It probably is, but I don’t care. :)
